Dr. Matthew Emery is a Canadian composer who “writes with an honesty which enchants” (Vancouver Sun), and whose music is “profoundly beautiful and moving” (CBC Music). His works have been performed in 37 countries across six continents, with venues including the Great Wall of China, the White House, and the Musikverein. He has received over forty commissions, with performances by major orchestras, choirs, and soloists across Canada and internationally. His music appears on 25 albums, including a Juno-nominated recording, and is widely published. He is Assistant Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University.
