SUMMARY:Choral Conducting Symposium Concert 2022
DESCRIPTION:Meet Me Here: Songs of Sanctuary\nA free TMC concert to conclude the 2022 Choral Conducting Symposium \nIn June\, Artistic Director Jean-Sébastien Vallée welcomes five emerging conductors from Canada and the U.S. for a week of intensive workshops and rehearsals with the full Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and the 20-voice professional ensemble of the TMC. \nThe Symposium concludes with a concert where all five participating conductors will conduct the two choirs. \nThe theme for the repertoire of this year’s Symposium is Songs of Sanctuary: a musical reflection on the meaning of exile and sanctuary through the works of Caroline Shaw\, Paul Hindemith\, Roderick Williams\, Benjamin Britten\, and many others. \nEnjoy this free concert of great choral music – and see some future conducting leaders in action. Patrons will be able to attend in person and also online through the concert livestream. DESCRIPTION:TMC’s annual welcome to the holiday season. This year the Choir will be joined by the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra. \nLauda per la Nativitá del Signore – a Christmas Cantata by Ottorino Respighi \nPopular carols \nMusic selections by Andrew Balfour\, Sally Beamish\, Paul Halley\, Rosephanye Powell\, Hyo-Won Woo and others. \nTickets\nTickets are still available to enjoy the Concert Livestream. You can watch it live and then again as many times as you want until December 26th. Livestream tickets are $20 for an individual and $40 for a household. If you plan to have more than one person watch the livestream\, please purchase a household ticket. Once you have made your purchase\, if you have any trouble receiving your livestream link or accessing the link\, please call RCM Tickets at 416-408-0208. \n\n\n  \nIf you purchased tickets to attend the concert at the venue\, please note that patrons must show proof of vaccination at the door and be masked at all times.
